~ yesterday ~
It's 8:02 in the evening. I'm a little far from home. Downstairs. Sipping coffee. A piece of homemade almond bread between my fingers.
It's quiet here. Tranquil.
I can hear the steady thrumming of the analog clock, the faint whirring of crickets outside, the children sleeping upstairs. I think it's the first moment I've had in a long time to just sit down by myself and reflect.
There's so much to take in. And so much to breathe out. Where to start? So much has happened already this year. So much is happening. Physically, emotionally, spiritually.
But one thing is still sure and oh how I love and cling to this truth, this constant, in the midst of so much uncertainty and all its evanescent thrills and unruly caprices: Christ in me, the hope of glory. There is wonder working power in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And in His precious blood — full and free deliverance from the powers of darkness. Jesus Christ has the victory.
"The devil, who deceived them, was cast in the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." Revelation 20:10
