closest I've been to a sparrow

I've wanted to draw a bird for a long time. Finally got around to it! 2B + 8B
I settled on a sparrow, inspired by the verses from Matthew (see below)
There were many moments I almost gave up. I started freaking out when I thought about drawing all the feathers and getting all the individual "hair" details right. I still struggle with capturing human hair so I knew it was gonna be a real challenge in patience and precision.
Closest i've been to a sparrow :P

Still not perfect but I'm glad I pulled through. Just one pencil stroke at a time.
Looking forward to sketching more of God's incredible creatures in the future. What an amazing, intelligent Designer!

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Matthew 6:25-27

“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31

Ready to fly into July Holiday Club tomorrow! To God be the glory.
