Higher

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Caprices

Picked up my violin and not even halfway through Rodes' Caprice No. 2 when the sky starts crying.
I'd like to say my beautiful playing moved the sky to tears but alas...'beautiful' does not quite capture the intricately out-of-time and out-of-tune style of performance I find myself exhibiting.
Nor does 'beautiful' quite capture my idiosyncratic command of English. hehehe :0

Funny. The rain stopped just as I did.

Word of the Day: Caprices
~sudden and unaccountable change of mood or behaviour.

Well, better get back to practising! :D

The Lord is Faithful

"The Lord is your keeper;

The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,

Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in

From this time forth, and even forevermore."

Psalm 121:5-8

"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one." 2 Thessalonians 3:3

Praise God for His protection. Thank You Lord.

Tune my Heart

Come, thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
Mount of thy redeeming love.

Here I raise mine Ebenezer;
Hither by thy help I'm come;
And I hope, by thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed his precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here's my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for thy courts above.
~Robert Robinson 1757

One of my favourites! So beautifully expressed :)
